| At 3:04 p.m., Engine 1 was dispatched to a reported motor vehicle collision at the intersection of James Monroe Highway and Creek View Lane in Colonial Beach.
Emergency Communications advised responding units that the incident involved two vehicles that had left the roadway and come to rest in a wooded area. Initial information indicated there were three occupants involved, all reported to have minor injuries, and that Virginia State Police were already on scene.
Upon arrival, Engine 1 found both vehicles approximately 25 yards off the roadway in the woods. Firefighters reported extensive damage to both vehicles, including airbag deployment. Chief 1 established command and confirmed that three occupants needed to be evaluated by incoming EMS units.
